Meet the founders

Juliette Champeil holds an engineering degree in industrial biology from EBI and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Laval University. She as a versatile expertise in project management and laboratory work. She is fascinated by the complexity of biology and serves as the CEO of IVANO Bioscience, overseeing the company’s intellectual properties and business development.

Mathias Mangion  earned a master’s degree in biotechnology from Paul Sabatier University and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Laval University. He has developed expertise in designing lab experiments and managing laboratories. Mathias is passionate about science and dreams of humanity’s future in space. He serves as the CTO of IVANO Bioscience, leading technology development and product manufacturing.

Our story

IVANO Bioscience is the brainchild of two passionate Ph.D. students in biotechnology and entrepreneurship who joined forces to support the scientific community. During their studies in biochemical engineering, they recognized the limitations and needs of life science laboratories. Since then, their mission has been to develop solutions that empower scientists to accelerate the discovery and development of new drugs and vaccines. By joining company incubators, the co-founders have leveraged resources to establish IVANO Bioscience.

The company’s primary goal is to enhance laboratory performance by providing highly efficient analytical tools that expedite the path to market for more effective vaccines and drugs. In the future, IVANO Bioscience plans to offer a range of biotechnology-based products to improve human, animal, and environmental health.

IVANO, what does it mean?

We believe it is essential to acknowledge and perpetuate the memories of those who make great scientific discoveries. The company’s name ‘IVANO’ is inspired by one of the pioneers of virology, Dmitri Iosifovich Ivanovsky, who co-discovered the existence of viruses. ‘IVANO’ also reflects the cofounders’ expertise in viral vector manufacturing.
